Among the leading personal care companies, the client is focusing more on the sunscreen composition with nanoparticles which is recently trending in the industry as it decreases the white cast on application and increases the SPF.

Engagement Objective:
The objective was to conduct a Landscape search on the below two concepts:
- Nanotechnology for sunscreen products: This aspect was aimed at identifying patent/published documents that focused on the use of non-skin penetrating nanoparticles in sunscreen products. Additionally, Polydopamine and Lignin have been considered
- Plant & bioactives for sunscreen products: This aspect is aimed at identifying patent/published documents that focus on the use of cinnamate, mentioned plants (Black ginger, Turmeric and Bengal root) and their respective bioactive that could be used in sunscreen compositions.
